Hi, I’m Ava!

Pacific Northwest wedding musician, private instructor, & performer

Music has always been my first language—I was trying to sing before I could even speak. Some of my earliest memories are of twirling in sparkly tulle dresses to the melodies of Haydn, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn in my living room. When I was five, a symphony performance on PBS captivated me, and the violin’s beautiful tone enchanted me so completely that I couldn’t stop talking about it for months. For my sixth birthday, my parents surprised me with a tiny violin and signed me up for lessons, and I’ve been in love with the instrument ever since.

I am classically trained and hold a BA in Music for violin performance, but my passion has led me to explore a wide range of styles—from folk to rock, fiddle to grunge. My first wedding performance was at just 12 years old, and nearly two decades later, I have had the honor of playing at hundreds of weddings and events.

I understand that music isn’t just about creating sounds—it’s about creating an unforgettable experience. Can you imagine a wedding without music? Whether it’s setting the perfect mood for a romantic ceremony, elevating a cocktail hour, or cultivating a magical atmosphere for a first dance, I tailor every performance to complement the unique aesthetic of your celebration.

Beyond weddings, I perform as a soloist, play with symphonies in the Pacific Northwest, and am the electric violinist and lead guitarist for my band, Crone. I also teach private lessons for violin, piano, guitar, and ukulele, sharing my love of music with students of all ages.
